The economic impact report of cruise shipping in Australia for 2012-13 was released at the Cruise Down Under (CDU) Conference in Cairns.
The study shows the cruise industry continues to out-perform other tourism sectors with growth of passenger days at port increasing by 24% over the previous year. It also reveals that the economic benefits of cruise, both international and domestic total output has risen to $2.88 billion in 2012-13.
