South Australian Tourism Commission - Term expires 2027

Andrew McKinnon is Director, Cruise Development and Tourism Infrastructure at the South Australian Tourism Commission, where he leads cruise development and strategic tourism infrastructure initiatives that support the growth of South Australia’s visitor economy.

With more than a decade of tourism experience, Andrew has held senior leadership roles spanning cruise, aviation, access, destination development and tourism infrastructure. He has played a leading role in developing South Australia’s cruise sector, working with cruise lines, ports, government agencies, regional tourism organisations and industry operators to strengthen destination readiness, enhance visitor experiences and deliver sustainable economic outcomes.

Andrew brings strong commercial acumen and broad experience in strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, communications, financial management and people leadership. He is recognised for building trusted relationships across government and industry and translating strategy into practical outcomes.

As an Australian Cruise Association Board member, Andrew contributes a government and destination perspective, with a strong focus on sustainable cruise growth, regional dispersal, infrastructure development and industry collaboration.
