The Queensland Government recognises the importance of cruise tourism for delivering economic and social benefits to Brisbane and coastal Queensland.

The intention is to ensure Queensland captures the continuing strong growth in the cruise sector and optimises potential economic and job creation outcomes into the future.

Tourism and Events Queensland actively promotes Queensland through a range of activities in a bid to attract new cruise ships to the state.
 
Tourism and Events Queensland also undertakes a range of activities to ensure the Queensland tourism industry is well equipped to service the growing cruise shore excursion requirements, with the aim of maximising the economic benefits of cruise shipping to Queensland.

Through its sheer size, ideal location, superb weather, unique natural landscapes and lifetime memorable experiences, Queensland offers a stunning range of cruising opportunities. Queensland boasts an extraordinary five World-Heritage listed areas out of Australia's 18.

Queensland is also home to a diverse range of native Australian animals just waiting to be discovered. Visit one of the magnificent beaches that take up much of the expansive coastline.
