Brisbane

More information

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, Australia's Sunshine State, and is the Gateway to the international attractions of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Brisbane is Australia's third largest city after Sydney and Melbourne, and is well equipped to provide for all shipping requirements.

Blessed with sunny days and plenty of action, Brisbane is one of the fastest growing capital cities in the world but its uncomplicated, laidback and fun-loving.  We love the great outdoors! If you’re sitting inside, you’re doing it wrong. Brisbane’s year-round subtropical setting is best enjoyed with the grass beneath your feet and the sun on your back.

Brisbane comes alive each day as the subtropical setting calls people from their beds year round to wake up and smell the coffee, soak up the sunshine and drink in the view of the winding Brisbane River.

What are Brisbane's strengths as a cruise destination?

There are two cruise ship wharves for Brisbane, with differing facilities. Portside Wharf was completed in 2006 and is an international standard facility for cruise liners, offering restaurants, coffee shops, and more. However, due to the height and length restrictions of the Gateway Bridge, the larger ocean going cruise liners must dock further down the river at the more industrial standard Multi User Terminal at the Port of Brisbane. The Multi User Terminal is managed by the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd.

Brisbane is only one day's sailing north of Sydney, giving your passengers more time ashore to discover the wonders of Australia.

Brisbane's strength lies in its casual, relaxed pace, access to natural attractions and world-class port facilities.
